Caleb Bell, Founder & Principal
I spent four and a half years inside an independent RIA in Phoenix, the last two and a half running its operations: trading, billing, onboarding, vendor relationships and the operational side of compliance, for a practice that kept growing without adding staff.
Most of what I fixed there, I fixed with tools the firm already owned, by putting to work features the team had been paying for but never using. Where the firm needed a capability it didn’t have, I helped find and implement new technology, along with the processes to make it stick. Either way the goal was the same: let a small team get more done without adding headcount. That is the idea Palivon is built on. Small independent firms rarely have someone whose job is the systems and workflows behind the advice, and the work lands on the person whose time is worth the most. I started Palivon to do that job for firms that can’t hire for it.
I moved to the Valley in 2016 to attend Grand Canyon University and have called Phoenix home ever since. Outside of work, most of my time goes to my wife, our son, and our extended family, and we’re active in our local church community.
The meaning behind Palivon
Palivo
Fuel allocated efficiently.
Palivon takes its sound from palivo, the Slavic word for "fuel," the substance that keeps engines running. For us, that fuel is the talent, systems, and rhythms already present in the business — we work to refine and direct that energy so it nourishes long-term performance instead of burning out.
Our first instinct is always to understand what's already in place — the technology stack, the workflows, the team rhythms — and find the efficiency hiding inside them. Transformation doesn't always require replacement. Sometimes it requires clarity.
Palinodia
The courage to pivot.
From the Greek palinodia — a formal recantation. The act of publicly revising one's position when new understanding demands it. It is not a retreat. It is intellectual honesty in motion.
The second root acknowledges a harder truth: sometimes the right answer is change. Legacy systems, inherited vendor relationships, and tools that no longer fit the firm's growth — these are challenges that require the courage to say "we can do better." Palivon helps firms make that case with confidence and execute it with precision.

Palivon's primary market is Registered Investment Advisor firms: independent advisory firms that manage client assets and take their obligations seriously. These firms often operate on technology stacks built for an earlier era, carry tools they've outgrown, and face operational friction that costs them time, money, and client attention.
Most firms I work with have one to fifteen people and have outgrown what their current tools and workflows can handle.
I work best with firms that are growth-minded but operationally honest: leadership that can say "we don't have this right" and is willing to do the work to fix it. I don't impose solutions. We build shared understanding, and I help you make decisions you'll stand behind for years.
